You know the drill, we kick-off every meeting with our TikTok tradition! & Today, we loosened up with some hip action before public speaking.
Inside Out Guest Sharing
Our opening segment invites our guests to introduce themselves to the rest of the club.
As this month’s theme was based on the movie ‘Inside Out’, members and guests broke the ice by sharing which Inside Out emotion they resonate with, clearly marked by the colour of their clothes😉
This July, we welcome Luke Montana as our new president for the 2024-2025 term as he delivered his first President’s address.
Wearing green, he injected his speech with elements of envy emotions for Timothy’s height, eliciting laughters of relatability.

Let’s spread the message of kindness to everyone through my sharing.
2. ‘Unseen Yet Everywhere’ L1P4(A) by Sarah Swee.

3. ‘What Makes a Vibrant Community?‘ L3P1 by Futa Mimoto.
What can we learn from Toastmasters Club?
With every speech delivered at BVTMC, you receive peer evaluations. Here we have our Distinguished Toastmaster (DTM) Clement, furiously scribbling his feedback for the speakers.
Project Evaluations
To help our speakers improve, project evaluators (PE) give feedback on their project speeches.
Two first-timer PEs stepped up: Vera and Yuncan! They both did well for their first time. Encey also evaluated his mentee, Futa (Futa didn’t get help from Encey for this speech so, fair game?).
Table Topics
Pick a topic. Read the question or statement. Go!
The Impromptu Speaking Segment – Table Topics, has got to be the most fun part of any Toastmasters Meeting.
Our Topics Master, Juliana, had all 9 Inside Out Emotions as topics. She watched the film just for this theme! Talk about commitment.
Guests and members alike spoke courageously before the audience. Surprisingly, majority shared about their workplace stories. Is the marketplace a hotspot for experiencing a range of our emotions on a daily basis?🤔
Inside Out Award Winners
Now, for the grand finale of the night.
Best speaker award goes to… Futa! What an inspiring speech that was relatable to a toastmaster’s journey.
Next up, best evaluator is… Encey! While some of us thought Futa’s speech was already amazing, Encey broke down ways Futa could turn his speech from ‘almost-there’ to spectacular.
Finally, best table topics award goes to… Cayla! Her realistic delivery of the topic on ‘Embarrassment’ was surely no embarrassment.
‘Twas yet another fun meeting this July!
