Mid-Autumn Festival!

It was a hectic day for us at BVTMC. Rushing around to arrange the room. Rushing around to make sure the hot and delicious food is ready to be served. Rushing around to make sure that everyone is well entertained before the meeting!

It was the usual jam-packed room full of expectant guests, visitors and members, calmly waiting for the TMD to utter his first words. When the clock hit go time and gavel hit the table, we were all set for the show to begin. A great show it was!

We’ve had a slew of speeches some warm hearted, some dark and gloomy and some controversial but all thoughtfully crafted, diligently rehearsed and exceptionally delivered!

And to evaluate them we had a whole slew of experiences especially from visiting Toastmasters. A first time visiting evaluator, the brave, Chia Boon Han from Money Master TMC. Division D Table Topics Champion and Division D PR Manager Sherah Yap (CC CL) from Queenstown TMC. Finally a maestro in the art, District Champion of several contests DTM Jacky Lim, from TMCS and President of Toastmasters for Christ! We topped the night off with a ROUSING language evaluation by a cute-uncle BVTMC has come to love a lot, DTM Gerald Yong from AIA TMC

BVTMC gives kudos the winners of the evening, Best Speaker Melvin Tan (definitely not his first), best evaluator and consistent winner of the ribbons, DTM Jacky Lim, and Table Topics winner  Albert a friend of our member Chris, who came in support of her but took home a memorabilia!!!

It was indeed long evening, with a lot of planning before the meeting, hard work during the and the rush to clear up after. But it was all well worth the effort, considering the time is spent with a lovely group of people we now call our family. What more would you want during the Mid-Autumn Festival. 🙂
